A global non-profit group called WaterAid is committed to enhancing people’s access to clean water, adequate toilets, and basic hygiene in order to help them escape poverty and disease, realize their full potential, and transform their lives for the better,to reduce the effect of climate change.
Nigeria happens to be the first country where WaterAid began operations. Since then, it has effectively carried out a number of intervention programmes in accordance with its aims, and has had impacts on the lives of the extremely poor.
Water Aid has a country office in Abuja, Nigeria,and has been working in Bauchi, Enugu, and Plateau States with support from a number of donors and partners .
