Step by step guide on how to create a YouTube channel

Here are step by step guide to follow in order to create a YouTube channel:

1. Go to the YouTube homepage
To get started, go to the YouTube website by typing in “www.youtube.com” in your web browser to create a YouTube channel.

2. Click on the “Sign in” button
Once on the YouTube homepage, click on the “Sign in” button located in the top-right corner of the page.

3. Sign in with your Google account
Since YouTube is owned by Google, you will need to have a Google account to create a YouTube channel. If you don’t have one, you can click on the “Create account” button to create a new account.

4. Click on your profile icon
After signing in to your Google account, click on your profile icon located in the top-right corner of the page.

5. Click on the “Create a channel” button
From the profile icon dropdown menu, click on the “Create a channel” button.

6. Choose a channel name
In the next step, you will be askedo enter a name for your YouTube channel. Choose a name that reflects the content you will be uploading, and make sure it’s easy to remember.

7. Add a profile picture and cover photo
After choosing your channel name, you will need to upload a profile picture and a cover photo. Your profile picture should be a square image of at least 800×800 pixels in size, while your cover photo should be 2560×1440 pixels in size.

8. Add a channel description
Next, write a brief description of your YouTube channel. This should be a summary of the content you’ll be creating and should help viewers understand what they can expect from your channel.

9. Choose your YouTube channel settings
You will also need to choose your channel settings. Here you can determine whether your channel will be private or public, and add keywords to help viewers find your channel.

10. Click on “Done”
Once you are happy with your channel settings, click on the “Done” button to create your YouTube channel.
