CBN launches improved eNaira services.

The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) responded to Nigerians’ worries about a shortage of the naira brought on by the currency redesign by launching “improved eNaira services” last week.

Nigerians can now utilize the USSD code *997*50# to make ATM withdrawals and complete all transactions using their eNaira wallets.

Similar to mobile recharge cards, you can top up your wallets with cash-purchased vouchers, money from bank accounts using bank cards through the online portal, or money from electronic payments made through any authorized agent.

According to Bayo Akintoye, founder and CEO of Bullnet platform, CBN, Chamsmobile, and Super Agents worked together to create the improved eNaira services.

He also disclosed that the new service would be run on the Bullnet platform.

Customers who don’t have bank accounts can withdraw the cash equivalent by sending eNaira directly from their wallets to an ATM.

Users can also transfer eNaira between wallets by inputting the recipient’s phone number.

Also, the nation’s network of banking agents, including those who handle mobile payments, point-of-sale transactions, and the growing number of eNaira adoption agents, would now serve as eNaira extension workers.

They would be participating in the eNaira agency, which includes onboarding new users, selling customers vouchers for a profit, and providing advocacy and education.
