Elon Musk has announced that Twitter would shortly increase its character limit to 4,000 in a fresh upgrade scheduled for early February. With choices for text formatting, this would enable users to construct complete blog entries within the social networking platform.
The upgrade is divisive among users who favour the service’s shorter delivery, much like Twitter itself and its owner.
Users claim that the upgrade undermines Twitter’s fundamental purpose as a microblogging network.
